My process as a wedding celebrant
Congratulations on your Engagement, I take pride to ensure your Ceremony is exactly what you want in particular "Stress Less". My initial contact with you is usually by telephone followed by a no obligation meeting, face to face at your place or mine or perhaps a coffee shop in between. I now also offer an initial meeting via Skype or Facetime. This service is available to distant clients or clients with timing issues, if initial face to face interview is difficult, and is also a fun way to get to know each other.
Once you have decided that I am exactly the Celebrant for you, we will complete the initial paperwork. This is called the (NOIM) Notice Of Intended Marriage and is required by law to be completed no later than one calendar month before your Wedding date.
We then talk about you and your day, your likes, dislikes and preferences. I take this information and create an initial draft for you both to consider. This I usually send back via email. I have lots of sample vows, poems and ceremonies for you to view or you may have some for me. I told you “Stress Less”.
Once you are absolutely happy with the ceremony, I will be in contact with you about 1-2 weeks before your day. This is where we get together and go through the ceremony, make any changes if required and perform a rehearsal if needed.
I supply a wireless, battery-operated PA System that can play your CD or iPod music for the ceremony. I also supply a signing table and chairs and quill signing pen, if this is not already supplied by your venue. I certainly can help you with many other contacts if you are unsure where to go next. I am not a Wedding Planner. However, I will always assist you in any way possible.
On the day of your ceremony, I arrive early to set up and ensure everything is in place as planned. The rest is up to you to enjoy. I leave soon after the ceremony at an appropriate time after you are married.
I usually do only one Ceremony per day, unless they are hours apart ie early morning/late afternoon. I do this is to ensure that if anything goes not quite to plan, eg your late arrival or last minute hitch, I am there for you, able to stay and perform your ceremony. I will not place a time limit on your day.
I am really looking forward to meeting you! So call or email me today.
